The Northern Integrated Supply Project: Planning for the Future (2007)
This video, produced by the entities planning and funding the NISP, summarizes the proposed project, discusses the importance of future water supply planning, and postulates what might happen if the project is not built. Through interviews with key Northern Colorado residents, the video outlines some of the reasons water suppliers are counting on NISP. Approximate viewing time is 12 minutes.

Northern Water cell phone audio tour (2007)
This narrated slideshow highlights the back yard of the Northern Water headquarters in Berthoud and provides practical outdoor water conservation tips. The back yard includes the Colorado-Big Thompson Project Interpretive Area – a model of the pioneering transmountain diversion project – and the Conservation Gardens. The 2-5-acre gardens showcase miniature Xeriscape landscapes and hundreds of different types of grasses. The public can visit the back yard at anytime for no cost. There is a free self-guided cell phone audio tour available on site. Approximate viewing time is 19 minutes.

The history, construction and operation of the Colorado-Big Thompson Project has been captured in photos and on film and video since construction began in the late 1930s and early 1940s. The following films and videos highlight the story.

Green Fields (1943)
Produced by the U.S. Bureau of Reclamation, Green Fields depicts construction of the Alva B. Adams Tunnel and previews C-BT Project completion and the benefits of supplemental irrigation water for northeastern Colorado. Approximate viewing time is 15 minutes.

The Barrier Between (1957)
Reclamation produced The Barrier Between the same year it finished C-BT Project construction. The film provides an overview of project features and their operation. Approximate viewing time is 26 minutes.

The Green Echo of Snow (1975)
The NCWCD and Reclamation co-produced The Green Echo of Snow as an update to The Barrier Between. Approximate viewing time is 26 minutes.

Under the Great Divide: The Colorado-Big Thompson Project (1995)
This film by NCWCD and Reclamation provides a more comprehensive look at C-BT Project features, operations, and benefits to the region’s farmers, cities, industry, and environment. Approximate viewing time is 24 minutes.

Horsetooth Reservoir and the Colorado-Big Thompson Project (2001)
Between 2000 and 2003 Reclamation modernized the four dams at Horsetooth Reservoir west of Fort Collins. Producer Jon Miller details the modernization project and provides an independent overview of the C-BT Project. Approximate viewing time is 28 minutes.

W.D. Farr: Thoughts on the Windy Gap Project and the Municipal Subdistrict (2003)
Mr. W.D. Farr, a life-long Greeley resident and former NCWCD Director, helped establish the NCWCD’s Municipal Subdistrict in 1970. Farr, the first Subdistrict Board President, was instrumental in guiding construction of the Windy Gap Project between 1981 and 1985. In this video Farr looks back at these events.
